Is it ok to wash baby clothes in general-use laudromats?

I'm trying to prepare for the arrival of our little boy in about a week and was wondering if it was safe to wash baby clothes and linens in the general-use washer %26amp; dryer we have in our building. Some friends recommended getting a personal washer just for washing baby clothes. Any advice would be appreciated. Is it ok to wash baby clothes in general-use laudromats?
the general use washer/dryer is just fine.Is it ok to wash baby clothes in general-use laudromats?
you can and should wash them in the same appliances as you wash your own. you can use the same detergent as well, so long as the baby doesn't get any reactions from it. just use a baby-soft fabric softener in your wash, and use dryer sheets for babies in the dryer.
When our daughter was first born we had no problems using general use washers and dryers. We have our own now but it doesnt affect the clothes. To save a little money though you can use All free and clear instead of Dreft. It has the same effect and you can use it with your clothes as well. And if if want your clothes to have a scent just use dryer sheets with your clothes. Congrats on the baby, good luck and god bless.
It's fine, just use a detergent free of dye and scent and no fabric softener or dryer sheets. Once the baby is older you could try using the softener or sheets and see if it causes a reaction. We use All free and clear and she does just fine.
I have never heard of that. Any washer will be fine. You may want to use gentle cycle and I personally recommend Ivory Snow or Dreft detergent. but my SIL never used any special detergent for her babies and they never had a reaction. My babies must have had sensitive skin
I have never heard of that. who ever told you that is crazy you can use the same washing machine and dryer for your babies clothes and your clothes. just get dreft to wash them instead of what you use.
Yes it is fine.
