Dark colours do tend to fade, however you seem to be doing the right thing, EXCEPT for putting them in a dryer! Unless there is NO alternative, I would NEVER use a dryer as they destroy your clothes and the environment. Sunshine and fresh air are best. When you buy a new item of clothing that is dark in colour, try 'setting' the colour by soaking in cold tap water with a good hand full of cooking salt. This method is used when dying fabrics so should be ok for you to use as well. Cut down your detergent use by half and add white vinegar to your rinse cycle for a great result. Good luck!
Vinegar doesn't have the most pleasant smell, but adding a cup to your washing machine will not only give you a natural fabric softener, but also help prevent colors from fading. The good news? The vinegar smell goes away in the wash.

If you still want to make sure your colors last as long as possible use the Gentle Cycle or a Gentle Detergent. :)
Add a cup of baking soda to the wash. You can also use Purex or Cheer for colors.

Woolite will also keep your clothes from fading.
use that Tide for dark color clothes
