What is the best way to wash black clothes?

Sometimes when i wash black clothes they loss they colour and they look like ive been wearing it for years....

How can i prevent that? What is the best way to wash black clothes?
Only wash black clothing with other dark clothing in cold water with liquid soap and no bleach. What is the best way to wash black clothes?
You can buy a liquid detergent especially for dark clothes

I think Dreft do it, I also turn my clothes inside out so the fluff is always on the inside
The best way to wash dark clothes is to use very little dertergent - Non Bio - without bleach or optical brightners.

I use a wool wash liquid on a 'Delicate' short wash. Empty all pockets.Turn the clothes inside out and close all zips %26amp;/or buttons. If you have a half load option on your machine use this.
washing them inside out...

Woolite makes a dark color washer solution...

i wouldn't machine dry my black clothing... shrinks, and fades color...

haha -maybe wash less often... like, wear twice before washing once... ew....
when you wash any dark clothes always turn inside out.
table spoon of salt will stop colour running... wash at 30degrees!
Wash and iron them inside-out.
Apparently the first couple of washes whold he in gold gold waterNot too much soup
Wash in only cold water, add one fouth cup of vinegar to water to set the dye in the shirt , hang to dry.
This happens to me to and it's really annoying. I wash all our black clothes together inside out and use Dreft Dark Washing Liquid (Tesco's 拢2.89) and try to get them back out the machine as soon as the cycle finishes.

Sometimes though it depends on the cheapness of the material in which case theres not much you can do about that.

Hope this helps
Wash them ONLY with other black clothes but use liquid colour detergent preferably, not powder. These colour liquids don't contain bleach.

Line dry, inside out, and iron through a damp cloth not directly with the iron on the fabric of the item to be ironed. It makes things go shiny.

Dry cleaning is also a good method but it is pricey I know.

As a last resort, you could always re-dye them black if the fabric would be alright with that kind of treatment.
Take them down to your nearest stream and scrub them together, using a big rock.
As a single man I wash everything together and have never had colours move across items, black trousers and white shirts do well together both in the washer and tumble dryer, the only method of washing in the block of flats where I live. No line drying as we have no line. The washer uses 40 degree only does this affect the wash???
Everyone's answers are really good.. However, I like to wash all my dark clothes on the gentle cycle and use Woolite w/ 1/2c. of baking soda in the water.. The detergent is gentle and the baking soda helps take out any stains w/o damage to the fabric.. It also helps deodorize. Also, it's a really good idea to turn the garments inside out and NOT to wash with towels or anything fuzzy/lint... I hang darks to dry to keep the color from fading.. I have pants/shirts that are about 10 yrs. old and they look/feel new ! Good luck
i wash all my black cloths inside out
Always wash them with other dark colours and buy a powder which will prevent clothes from losing their colour.
