It is true that if you wash your clothes in hot water in the washingmachine it helps get stains out better?

Like instead of cold water, i would imagine that it would help cause its hot water. hot water gets things off real good cause of the hot %26amp; the steam, so should i wash my clothes in hot water from now on?It is true that if you wash your clothes in hot water in the washingmachine it helps get stains out better?
Hot water is good to remove oily stains, but some stains like blood or grape juice , it will set them in. Cold is better for those things. If you use cold water, use a liquid detergent since the powders are usually made to disintigrate only in hot or warm. The chemicals in powders react only with the hot or warm temperature.

Yes, hot water definately shrinks clothes. So will the dryer. Using hot water is usually only recommended for things you either don't care if they shrink like old rags, maybe wash clothes, towels and sheets.

If you want to get stains out with as little care as possible, rub some laundry detergent or Dawn/Palmolive on the spot and toss it aside. Stuff like tomato sauce, grape juice and blood, get at it right away or you may not be able to get rid of it later. There are stain sticks at the store you can also purchase for this that you put it on the stain and toss it aside until you are ready to wash.It is true that if you wash your clothes in hot water in the washingmachine it helps get stains out better?
I belive it true that if you wash your clothes in HOT WATER it will remove more stains instead of shrinking or causing the stain to set in

I been doing this to my clothes.

I would like someone on this yahoo laundry board to actually prove there point instead of lying all the dam time.
