How do you wash clothes in a washing machine?

Our mother has gone on strike and I have no idea how to use a washing machine, or how to sort clothes.

I am thirteen and willing to learn how to do it properly. How do you wash clothes in a washing machine?
1) Well first you have to sort the clothes into their color groups (Darks, reds, whites ect.)

2) You put them in the washer

3) Add soap (Thats meant for clothes) and softener (If you want, it's optional) and dont add bleach unless your doing whites or want to make a black shirt gray...

4) Chose the setting, if you have alot of clothes or their really dirty, put it on heavy duty, and if their not just put it on regular (Their should be a setting for white). I never thought that it honestly mattered what setting you put it on.

5) Press start and wait for it to be done.

6) Put wet clothes in the dryer and press start. If their not done after the first cycle then do it again.

Hope this helps :) GOOD LUCK!How do you wash clothes in a washing machine?
At thirteen, your Mother should have shown you before now how to use

any and all Appliances around the house. That is part of educating your children.

Sort the clothes by color (light with light and color with color). Put them

into the machine and select a water level according to the amount of clothing to be washed. Use a scoop full of Detergent and select the

Water Temperature. You may read the labels inside the items to be washed.

Things like Bedding and Towels may be washed hot and I rinse cold.

Colored items may require warm or cold wash and cold rinse.

By the way, if your Mother wants to teach you, going on strike is no way to do it. She should make you work harder and teach all things inclusive.
That's very good that you are trying to do your best for your Mum.

Exactly how you operate your washing machine will depend on it's type. You need the right setting and temperature for the various types of fabric in your clothes and to know which controls to use. I recommend that you find the instruction book for your washing machine and follow it carefully to teach yourself. I do that whenever I need a new machine. There is always something new to learn and you are obviously used to learning independently. If you cant find the book you will probably get it online or ask at the shop.
She's on strike? What does she want? Higher pay? Better working conditions? Dental?

Actually, your best bet is to tell her that she can't go on strike. She's under contract for another 5 years.

Oh wait, here's another one. Wear your dirty clothes. This is going to be super humiliating but it'll break the strike for sure. You need to wear some really stinky, dirt clothes around your mom's friends or something and tell them that she has given up being a mom and watches TV all day.

Or... Destroy some clothes with bleach or something and wear those. This eill make you more sypathetic becasue you'll look as is you're TRYING to clean your clothes. (13 is a little old to be so helpless.)

Finally, what did you do to p!ss her off?
Separate darks, lights, and whites. You need to use light bleach on whites with hot water. It is optional to use warm or cold water with lights. Use cold water with darks to prevent fading. Follow directions on bottle with detergent, don't go overboard with fab softener. Also using cold water whenever possible will save on $$$$. Most washers are pretty simple and have directions right on them.....GOOD LUCK!!! U will get the hang of it in no time.
